Ian Penner aRiding since '86, the essential quality of Ian is his sheer mediocrity. Early results have been well-balanced by recent drop-outs, and a continual need to "try something new" in cycling in a vain attempt to find something for which he is suited.
Not a bad climber, not a bad sprinter, not so bad at TT'ing, his primary skill is hauling downhill quickly. Fortunately, this evens out with his poor track skills. The taste of occasional success is just the fuel he needs to convince himself to buy just ONE more set of wheels. By consistently placing mid-pack in road, TT, 'cross, and his only MTB race, Ian epitomizes the team: exactly Half Fast (TM).
